When Matt Chamberlain isn't backing Tori Amos, he's sure doing interesting stuff. This ambient-jazz journey features guitarist Bill Frisell, with whom the drummer improvised a buttload of stuff, and then the duo turned it over to producers Tucker Martine and Lee Townsend to make sense of it all. Some bass lines and horns later, the resulting patchwork finds Chamberlain grooving like a madman through the title track 'Wanderer', the swampy 'Mississippi Rising', and the booming tone of 'Passenger'.
