Since 1983, Townsend has produced recordings of artists including Bill Frisell, John Scofield, Loudon Wainwright III, Kelly Joe Phelps, Rinde Eckert, Vinicius Cantuaria, Shweta Jhaveri, Dino Saluzzi, Gabriela, Petra Haden, Viktor Krauss, Elvis Costello/Bill Frisell, Choying Drolma & Steve Tibbetts, Pat Metheny/John Scofield, Joey Baron, Charlie Hunter, T.J.Kirk, Dave Holland, Hank Jones, John Abercrombie, Jerry Granelli, Marc Johnson, Jonah Smith, Noe Venable, Crooked Still, Paul Dresher, Marty Ehrlich, Dusan Bogdanovic, Paul Sprawl, and Stephen Yerkey, among others. Townsend is a member of the cooperative group, Floratone, along with Frisell, Matt Chamberlain and Tucker Martine. He has also collaborated on motion picture soundtracks and theater music. Additionally, he has been producer of the "Century of Song" program for the Ruhr Triennale Arts festival in Germany, Vice President of Artists and Repertoire for Verve/Polygram Records in New York, General Manager and Director of U.S. Operations at ECM Records in New York, Guest Curator and Producer of Music Programming at the Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga, CA., and a staff producer at National Public Radio affiliate, KCRW-FM in Santa Monica, CA.

Claudia Engelhart (Sound Engineer) has been a professional live-sound engineer for the past 25 years. Born in 1963 and raised in Berkeley, California, Claudia grew up among a family of musicians and artists, and was exposed to diverse music from around the world. She studied cello for 10 years. In 1982, while attending The College For Recording Arts in San Francisco, she began her career working live sound in the historic San Francisco jazz club Keystone Korner. In 1983 she moved to New York City and continued working in clubs such as CBGB's, The Bitter End, and S.O.B.'s. In 1985 she began touring full-time, internationally, as a front of house engineer. Since 1989 Claudia has been touring with Bill Frisell. She has recorded two live albums for Frisell, 'East/West' released in 2005 on Nonesuch Records, and & 'Bill Frisell Live'; recorded in 1993 on Gramavision Records. Claudia has also worked and toured extensively with other renowned artists such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Michael Brecker, David Byrne, Laurie Anderson, David Sylvian, John Patitucci, Dave Holland, Grover Washington Jr., John Scofield, Medeski Martin & Wood, John Zorn, The Kronos Quartet, Don Cherry, Cecil Taylor, Fred Frith, Eddie Palmieri, Willie Colon, Airto Moreira and Flora Purim, among others.

Lane started working with Songline / Tone Field
Productions early in 2003 and is currently the Director of
Frisell Archives. In the last few years, Martin's career has involved working with fundraising databases of non-profit organizations, something that he still does. He is also a guitarist and composer, and performs occasionally. In 1998, he earned a Master of Music degree from DePaul University in Chicago. He lives in Grand
